Untitled Vessel

Copper, Hand Raised,

4 x 3.5 x 3.5 inches

When thinking about hollow I think of vessels not only as an objects to be viewed, but also as objects to be picked up and experienced. I am visually attracted to pattern, repetition, texture and color. However, I am also tacitly aware of how a vessels sits in ones hand, how a finger may rest in a resets area or how a convex area of a vessel may fill the palm of a hand. For me, vessels of this scale demand more than just sight to be fully appreciated.
