Create a ‘Visual Effects Toolbox’ that can be used as an assist to developing imagery on copper with enamel.  Glass and metal have intrinsic physical properties that can be used to create various visual effects.  These effects can be used to establish line, shape, texture, color, spaces, pattern, contrast and visual depth. Participants will become acquainted with lead-free transparent enamels fired direct on copper, over copper oxide, over other transparents and over opaque white enamel.  Experience the physical properties and interrelationships of materials and procedures.

Three projects (using 24 or18 gauge sheet copper suitable for small panels or jewelry shapes) will take you through specific step-by-step procedures, applications and firings to make enamel art pieces.

All of our online workshops are recorded and, with purchase of the seat in the class, students have access to the recording(s) between workshop sessions as well as for 60 days after the workshop ends.
