November 2 & 9, 2023 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm View in Your Timezone

In this online demonstration, Samuel Newman of Suay Ceramics will use his Maker’s Mug design to illustrate the iterative narrative of clay through the lens of form, thought, and function. During the 4-hours of this two-session workshop, we will explore a range of altering techniques and learn how to pull a handle off of the mug. We will further explore how our growing ability to alter the clay can translate to various forms, that in turn can bring a unifying aesthetic to your clay practice!
