Welcome to the world of at-home, low-tech, and small-studio surface design! This course is designed to introduce four distinct styles of image and mark-making techniques for fabric. You will learn how to manipulate image transfer, apply textile paint, add hand embroidery/embellishments, and needle felt to create a cohesive composition worthy of a tapestry or future top layer for an art quilt. All levels of expertise and experience are encouraged to join.

 

 

All of our online workshops are recorded and, with purchase of the seat in the class, you have access to the recording(s) between workshop sessions as well as for 45 days after the workshop ends.

Liz Hamilton Quay is the Assistant Professor of Textile and Materials Studies at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.
