In this workshop, students will create a ceramic gingerbread house from terra cotta clay while learning fundamental slab-building and surface decoration techniques. Inspired by traditional gingerbread houses, we will use ceramic materials to recreate familiar details such as piped icing, candy, sprinkles, shingles, and other festive decorations. Students will be supplied with a basic template that they are encouraged to personalize by experimenting with architectural and decorative details.

All of our online workshops are recorded and, with purchase of the seat in the class, students have access to the recording(s) between workshop sessions as well as for 60 days after the workshop ends.
