Sew, Stitch, Weave: Textile Techniques in Metal

All Levels
April 20 & 27, 2024 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm View in Your Timezone

This class will focus on executing textile processes in metal. We will address sewing and weaving, and touch upon knitting, embroidery, and more, to create vessel forms. These practices are experimental and can be applied to jewelry formats. We will also discuss applying traditional metalsmithing techniques to your work before and after you’ve implemented textile techniques. Sylvie will share what she’s learned in her own trials and tribulations, but also discover new results with all of you.

All of our online workshops are recorded and, with purchase of the seat in the class, you have access to the recording(s) between workshop sessions as well as for 45 days after the workshop ends.
