No Skills Required
July 12 - July 16, 2027

Wood and…

In this class, students bring their own non-wood materials and dive into the art of combining them with wood to create one-of-a-kind small tables, cabinets, or sculptural pieces. Along the way, you’ll explore joinery, carving, and shaping techniques—and even learn how to cut and work with materials like brass and copper. Glass, tile, fibers, rubber, mirror, shells, stones—anything goes! This is your chance to experiment, mix textures, and push the boundaries of traditional woodworking.

This work show is suitable for beginners, basic woodworking knowledge is preferred but not necessary.

Students can expect to spend $60 – $85 on materials provided by Pocosin or the instructor. This number is an estimate based on projected student usage, the final amount could be outside of this range.
