Make a Modern Side Table: Zero Waste

Make a groovy side table while respecting our role as stewards of the earth. Wood is precious, so we will leave no scrap behind. Participants will start with the same table design, with options for personalization such as a racing stripe and a choice of natural finishes. We will coax the wood to life with a combo of power tools and hand tools. Fun scrap side projects will include a comfort bird or bandsaw box. Open to all skill levels.

Students can expect to spend $70 – $90 on materials provided by Pocosin or the instructor. This number is an estimate based on projected student usage, the final amount could be outside of this range.

Meet the Instructor

Amelia Mighty

Amelia Mighty is a cartoonist-turned-stained glass artist. She likes to toy with ways to add depth and sass to two dimensional concepts, whether creative creatures or colorful landscapes.
