All Levels
June 24 - June 28, 2024

Perspective & Depth in Clay

In this workshop, we will create vessels to act as a clay canvas through an additive process on hand-built or wheel-thrown porcelain forms. Drawing inspiration from nature, demonstrations will include altering, layering, texturing, and decorating surfaces to enhance the piece’s  three-dimensionality, similar to a painting. Developing depth through layering underglazes will also be discussed. No hand-building or wheel-throwing experience required.

Materials Fees for this workshop are estimated to be between $135-165. This does not include materials that may need to be purchased by the student prior to the workshop. Additional firing fees may apply. Additional clay is available for purchase.
