All Levels
June 10 - June 14, 2024

Ornamented Guardian

Explore the rich possibilities of creating your personal guardian. Think, Year of the Dragon, mythical protector, or any other creature that you desire. Working from photographs or drawings, we will use basic slab and modeling techniques to make a guardian 12-18” in height. Each participant’s project will be unique, so we will discuss individual plans to make construction easier. Concurrently, we will make one-part plaster press molds to embellish our sculptures and bring texture to the surface.

Materials Fees for this workshop are estimated to be between $80-110. This does not include materials that may need to be purchased by the student prior to the workshop. Additional firing fees may apply. Additional clay is available for purchase.
