Session 1: Glazing Deep Dive

Intermediate
June 7 - June 11, 2027

Glazing Deep Dive

Join Ruth Easterbrook for a deep dive glazing workshop. Strengthen your approach to glazing basics and gain insight into new ways to use careful planning to create a unique glazed surface. During this workshop, you will learn from in-depth demonstrations, hands-on practice and slideshows introducing techniques you can bring to your own practice. Bring 6-12 pieces of your bisque ware to practice on and your notebook to take notes as Ruth shares using tape, wax, and layers for exciting results

This class is best suited for students who have an understanding of some of the difficulties of glazing and have bisque ware from past classes to work on. Students must have glazed before and have experience doing so.

Students can expect to spend $50 – $70 (including $25 Studio fee but not class firings) on materials provided by Pocosin or the instructor. This number is an estimate based on projected student usage and firings, and the final amount could be outside of this range.
