Intimidated by the thought of making your own Mokume Gane? Eric’s workshop will help you get over that hurdle! With his guidance students will learn a low-tech and relatively low cost method to making a diffusion bonded Mokume Gane billet. Using a soldering torch and a refractory brick mini-furnace students will fire a 16 layer copper and sterling silver billet and then learn to forge and pattern said billet. This is considered a beginning Mokume Gane workshop, but learning this technique does require some previous experience with soldering, forging, and using a flex-shaft.

All of our online workshops are recorded and, with purchase of the seat in the class, you have access to the recording(s) between workshop sessions as well as for 45 days after the workshop ends.
