Maximizing Surface

In this workshop, you will learn how to create colorful maximalist surfaces through a variety of techniques including creating and using your own custom shape cutters and stencils. You will learn how to add color, dimension, and small sculpted elements to ceramic forms in a variety of ways. You also will learn the basics of making colored clay and slips and unique ways of creating patterns with them!



All of our online workshops are recorded and, with purchase of the seat in the class, you have access to the recording(s) between workshop sessions as well as for 45 days after the workshop ends.

Meet the Instructor

Indigo Cristol

Indigo is a ceramic artist originally from Williamsburg, Virginia. She holds a BA from The College of William and Mary where she double majored in Studio Art and Economics. She has completed artist residencies at Cobb Mountain Art and Ecology Project and at 323 Clay. She also completed a Post Baccalaureate at Virginia Commonwealth University…
