Through this workshop participants will learn the fundamentals of mold making & slip casting techniques related to vessel forms. There will be an introduction to prototypes with cup forms and learning how to mix plaster to make a basic drop mold or two-piece crack molds. Mold making and slip casting is often seen as a very technical process that requires special knowledge or one that requires a long workflow, but it can also be a quick, direct & exciting process.



All of our online workshops are recorded and, with purchase of the seat in the class, you have access to the recording(s) between workshop sessions as well as for 45 days after the workshop ends.

Paul Donnelly

Paul Donnelly is a studio potter from Kansas City, MO. He is currently a Professor of Ceramics at the Kansas City Art Institute.
