Through a series of fast-paced demos and accompanying reference material, students learn everything they need to know about the multi-purpose workhorse of the metals studio, the flex shaft. From selecting the right motor and how to maintain it to choosing the best bit for the job, it’s all covered in an easy-to-follow format. Bring your own flex shaft or problem pieces for personalized advice.

Lindsay Minihan is a skilled metalsmith with a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. For sixteen years, she served as the Executive Director of Metalwerx, a nonprofit jewelry school, where she supported numerous artists in teaching and learning.
