Across disciplines, artists have long incorporated multiple sources into their work, using a variety of techniques. This workshop focuses on creating and applying screens based on personally selected or created imagery. Although this workshop is primarily intended for enamel artists, the techniques of making and applying screens apply as well to other media. In this two-part workshop, free yourself from the limited vocabulary of commercially-prepared screens and add meaning to your work.


All of our online workshops are recorded and, with purchase of the seat in the class, you have access to the recording(s) between workshop sessions as well as for 45 days after the workshop ends.

Meet the Instructor

Jan Harrell

Jan Harrell has explored the enamel medium for over forty years. For the last thirty years, she has taught enameling at the Glassell School of Art, Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, Texas.
