Join artist and educator Katie Bosley Sabin as she demonstrates the methods used to create her sculptural vessels. She will introduce her favorite tools, share techniques for creating symmetrical designs, and demonstrate the step-by-step process of carving and piercing leather hard clay. This workshop will also address how to manage the careful drying and firing of challenging porcelain forms.

Some experience required:

– Basic understanding of the stages of moisture level in clay (wet, leather hard, bone dry)

– Ability to create forms (thrown or handbuilt) of relatively even wall thickness

All of our online workshops are recorded and, with purchase of the seat in the class, you have access to the recording(s) between workshop sessions as well as for 45 days after the workshop ends.
