Design modular shadowbox frameworks using floral craft wire and Bronze metal clay. When fired, fill the spaces with crushed beads, gemstones, sea glass. The resulting inlay is secured with heat-treated adhesive, leaving the natural beauty of the stones intact. Learn fundamental principles of working with powdered base metal clays, reinforcement techniques for successful construction, and crushing and sizing of inlay materials. Kiln set-up and firing schedules will also be reviewed in detail. If you do not have access to a kiln, Lyle will fire the pieces for you in her studio. Payment and mailing instructions will be given in class.

All of our online workshops are recorded and, with purchase of the seat in the class, students have access to the recording(s) between workshop sessions as well as for 60 days after the workshop ends.
