Online Workshops Etiquette:
- Only log into the meeting with one device at a time.
- Make sure your displayed name matches the name you registered with. Ask for assistance if you need help.
- Please mute yourself and enable your video when you first connect to the session.
- Write your questions in the chat, and always have the chat box open. There will be time for live questions throughout the class, and the workshop coordinator will share your questions at appropriate times.
- Closed Captions are available.

All of our online workshops start accepting registrations on the first Friday of every month.
All of the classes are Eastern Time. Please make sure that you plan accordingly!
You can use this link to compare multiple time zones at once. Simply search for a place in Eastern Time (such as New York City, for example) and plug in your location too. You can hover over the class time in Eastern Time to reveal what time (and day) it will be to you.
Participants receive the Zoom link immediately after signing up for the class. In the email confirmation/receipt, there will be a link that directs you to the course with the Zoom meeting ID and Zoom link. We also send a zoom link reminder the day before your workshop. Participants will use the same zoom link for each of the sessions. Sometimes our automated emails go to your spam folder. If you haven’t received your confirmation email or are having trouble accessing the workshop please contact us at zoom@pocosinarts.org. Please do not opt-out of emails, as this will prevent you from receiving important information.
The suggested material list is available on the website under Workshop Details, and in the confirmation/receipt email you receive directly after signing up. In the event of a workshop cancellation, Pocosin Arts is not responsible for any expenses incurred by students registered for a workshop, including material purchases.

There are no refunds for online classes; we will issue a credit for a future course that is good for one year. If a transfer is issued, a transfer fee of $25 is due at the time of transfer. We don’t allow transfers in the week before the class starts.
If a class gets canceled due to loss of power, an emergency, or insufficient registrations, our coordinators will contact you directly via email.

Participants will receive the recording link on the day of the class. You can use the recording to review and fill in any information you may have missed during the live course. You will have access to the class recordings between workshop sessions and for 45 days after the last class day.
NEW! As of November 1, 2025, students will have access to recordings for 60 days after the last class day and between workshop sessions.
We recommend using Firefox or Chrome to view the recording and type in the passcode instead of copying and pasting. Each recorded session requires registration and a passcode to protect the instructor's teaching material.

You might have noticed that we've changed how we define each of our online workshops. Instead of "All Levels" or "Some Experience Required", you'll notice some new descriptors underneath the title of the workshop you're looking at. Here's what we categorize them as:
- No Skills Required: this is a student's first workshop or its been a number of years since their last experience in this field
- Beginner: students should have basic knowledge in this field with one or two workshops as previous experience
- Intermediate: students should have previous experience in this field with general knowledge of techniques and tools
- Advanced: students should have multiple years in the field with extensive knowledge of technique and tools
Each workshop is defined by the term that caters to the most novice learner that would have success in the class.
All of our online workshops are offered in English unless otherwise specified on the listing. Closed captions are available in English as well.
Please note that access to our online workshops is limited to the individual registrant. We require separate registration for each participant.
The Online Workshop Library is a rotating selection of previous recordings from our archive that are available for purchase for 6 months of access. These workshops do not include live instructor feedback or handouts.
Our live Online Workshops include live instructor feedback, handouts, and 60 days of recording access immediately following the workshop's last meeting date.
