Working in the box with Bob

ROBERT EBENDORF
JAN. 22-25, 2019

In this workshop, the use of unusual materials will open up unique possibilities and unconventional methods to create. Students will explore both inside and out of a cigar box to assemble their creative story, be it comical, political, or fantasy. Learning and using methods to connect, such as riveting, wiring, or collage, each participant will create work designed to display on the wall. Suggested materials can be found on eBay, flea markets, Salvation Army or Goodwill. There will lots of time for conversation and step by step demonstrations. For examples of assemblage in a small space, one might become acquainted with the work of Joseph Cornell.
