Ruth Ball

Since graduating from the BA Jewellery Design Course at Middlesex University London in 1987 Ruth has dedicated her practice to the application of color through vitreous enamels on precious metals.

Her creativity spans contemporary jewelry, fine silverware, and unique artworks. Observation of color and light in everyday environments sustains her modern design style. Moreover, her art-based, painterly approach to enameling underpins the elegant sense of beauty in her work.
Keen to pass on her knowledge, she was commissioned by publishers A&C Black to write a book about enamel techniques and she is now recognized internationally as being practised in a variety of enamel methods. Today the conception of one-off pieces and limited edition ranges are her prime focus. Her coveted enamels, are exhibited nationally and internationally and are available via specialist galleries or directly through her website. www.ruthball.weebly.com/
