Leah Houghtaling

“I have an idea!” – This is Leah, all day every day. A self-taught woodworker of over 25 years, she prefers never to make the same thing twice, from furniture to art. Her focus is on the flaws that make wood (and people) beautiful, and on using every single bit of wood she can. She has been a guest teacher at Hammerstone Carpentry School for Women. For this class, she’ll be joined by artist Amelia Mighty.
