Ian Petrie

Originally from Minnesota’s St. Croix valley, Ian M Petrie grew up surrounded by utilitarian pottery. During his studies at the University of Minnesota (BFA, 2013) and two emerging artist residency programs (Northern Clay Center, Worcester Center for Crafts) he learned how to use screenprinting to apply his illustrations onto ceramic slab-built forms. His work can be found across the country in art galleries, east coast craft shows, and probably a lot of kitchen cabinets.
