Caitlin Murphy

Caitlin trained as a silversmith and jeweller at Glasgow School of Art (GSA) and Bishopsland Educational Trust. After graduating in 2022, she committed to building her practice full-time. During her second year at Bishopsland she received support from QEST and the South Square Trust, helping her to accelerate this career path.

In 2024, she completed Bishopsland and returned to GSA for an artist residency. Here, she received a Goldsmiths’ Company commission for an 18-carat gold and niobium woven box, a huge career milestone for her.

Caitlin has exhibited at Goldsmiths’ Fair for three consecutive years and has received multiple Goldsmiths’ Craft and Design Council awards. Her work can also be seen in the National Museum of Ireland and Arts Council of Northern Ireland permanent collections.

Now, based in the South Oxfordshire countryside, Caitlin runs her practice full time. She recently showed three large scale wall hangings at Collect International Art Fair, an ambition she has pursued since 2022.
