Bob Ebendorf & Boris Bally

Boris Bally

Bally is a Swiss-trained goldsmith working as a contemporary metalsmith and designer in Rhode Island, where he maintains his studio business, Bally Humanufactured. His work is a disciplined body of objects which vary from eccentric through formal to humorous, provoking thought and reflecting on some of the distortions of our ordered world. His practice has become an amalgam of the skills of an able industrial designer, a gifted craftsperson, a discriminating sculptor, and a cultural critic.

Bob Ebendorf

Ebendorf received his MFA in 1962. He taught at the University of Georgia, State University of New York at New Paltz, East Carolina University, and many craft centers. Bob is a co-founder and past president of the Society of North American Goldsmiths. He has received many awards, including a Fulbright Fellowship, the American Craft Council Fellowship, the North Carolina Governor’s Award, and the SNAG Lifetime Achievement Award, and is represented in many prominent collections worldwide. He currently enjoys “retirement” in Santa Fe, NM.
