Annemarie Pomp is a retired art teacher with 30 years experience. She graduated from Newark State College (Kean University), with a BA in Fine Arts Education. Her major area of concentration was in Ceramics.
Annemarie is diverse in her creativity. She works in ceramics, jewelry making, painting, photography and fiber arts. Relocated from New Jersey the now Hertford resident is the past president of the Perquimans Arts League, as well as a member of the Pocosin Arts Metals Guild.
Inspired by nature, she produces hand wrought silver pieces, paintings in tempera, watercolor and oil. Annemarie loves to paint small plein air watercolor sketches during her travels.
Annemarie has received many awards for her jewelry, photography and textiles. Annemarie also continues to produce functional pottery forms and continues to teach classes on basic drawing and painting techniques to adults.
Her work can be found at the Chowan Arts Council, Perquimans Arts league and on the Pocosin Arts Metals Guild Blog. She has exhibited on the Outer Banks, Pocosin Arts Center, River Walk and Arts of the Albemarle.
