Pocosin Arts' newly renovated and well-equipped metalsmithing, ceramics, woodworking, and digital fabrication studios are ideal learning environments. Paired with convenient housing right across the street and an expansive waterside deck and social hall, it's the perfect place to hone your skills, make new friends, and enjoy a sunset.
Our facilities are available for private events including workshops, parties, conferences, and other events. Many groups have hosted events with us including the ECU Dental School, NC Cooperative Extension, NC Division of Coastal Management, NC Museum of Natural Sciences, and NC State Forestry & Environmental Research.

Our newly renovated and well-lit studios offer the perfect environment for inspiration, creativity, and productivity.

Ceramics Studio
The light-filled ceramics studios overlooking the Scuppernong River have everything you need to work in clay. Four work areas accommodate wheel-throwing, hand-building, glazing and drying, and firing. The studio has ten electric wheels, six hand-building worktables, a north star slab roller, a Baileys extruder, a Laguna spray booth, a glaze calculation station, and electric kilns firing to cone 6. We offer wheel-throwing, hand-building, glazing, design, and clay sculpture classes for all ages and skill levels.

Ebendorf Metals Studio
This studio features twelve jeweler’s benches, each equipped with a Foredom Flex Shaft. The studio is well-appointed with a hydraulic press, three soldering stations, four Vcella enameling kilns, casting area and equipment, forming and forging equipment, Durston rolling mill, GRS Benchmates, and a guillotine shear. The instructor bench has a camera and screen for viewing demonstrations up close.

Woodworking Studio
Our newest studio features separate rooms for machine tools and benchwork. The studio is equipped with a SawStop table saw, 20-inch planer, 6-inch jointer, chop, miter, and radial arm saws, mini-lathes, bandsaws, sanders, and an Oneida dust collection system.

Smith Digital Fabrication Lab
Intended to supplement our other studios, the Smith Lab features a laser cutter, 3D printers, vinyl cutter, CriCut, and a full size ShopBot CNC router.

Lodging & Other Rentals

Riverside Lodge
The lodge sits on the corner of Main and Water Streets, directly across from the Studios and the Riverview. It has comfortable single, double, and quad occupancy rooms with individual temperature control, private bath, and high-speed Wi-Fi. Guests enjoy 24-hour access to a fully equipped communal kitchen and gas grill, a communal lounge area, and plenty of outdoor space to relax and enjoy river and town views.
The Riverview
As the name suggests, this historic building boasts views of the Scuppernong River and is a central campus gathering place. Relaxing on the expansive deck, you will see the river come alive with river otters, eagles, and other wildlife. The building serves as a gathering place for meals, parties, presentations, and movement classes. It is equipped with a full catering kitchen and two bedrooms upstairs.


Pigeon House
For a unique stay while on campus, this self-contained 200-square-foot tiny house adjacent to the Riverview deck features panoramic views of the Scuppernong River. It has a full bedroom on the second floor, a kitchenette, and a full bath on the first. Grab a cup of coffee and step onto the deck to greet the morning.
