Winter Residency Deadline Approaching

Winters is a special time in Columbia, NC. It’s calm, it’s quiet, and there’s a subtle beauty to the landscape. The migrating waterfowl come through the area. You can take a walk on the beach and not see another person. The days are cool, but not bitter and the sunsets are still just as spectacular as in the summer.
Our Winter Residency is the perfect time to enjoy all these aspects of nature while you nurture your studio practice. Choose a 2-week session or stay for all four weeks. Artists at any point in their career are encouraged to apply in wood, metals, or ceramics. We also have a flex space that can accommodate fibers, mixed media, drawing, painting and more.
Session 1: January 4-17, 2026
Session 2: January 18-31, 2026
Applications are due by August 31, 2025.
