In addition to our Summer Workshops, We have a NEW Spring Session! Carve, Hammer Press, runs March 16-20, 2026, and will be an exciting week focused on form, color and texture.

But that’s not all! We still have one more trick up our sleeve, so stay tuned!
The Pocosin Arts Metals Guild

Founded in 2009, the Pocosin Arts Metals Guild (PAMG) grew out of the strong jewelry and metals programming at Pocosin Arts and the vibrant metals community in the region. With over 20 members from across Eastern North Carolina, Maryland, and Delaware, the guild continues to thrive and maintain close ties with Pocosin Arts School of Fine Craft 16 years later.
At its core, PAMG’s mission is to share metalsmithing knowledge and foster a supportive, dynamic community of artists. Meetings often feature hands-on demonstrations by members or guest artist workshops led by instructors such as Tim Lazure, Ken Bova, and Kathryn Osgood. In 2026, members participated in the Tool Box Initiative, raising funds and donating tools and materials to support West African jewelers.
The guild also exhibits work regionally, often around themed “challenges,” such as a found-object earring show (2019) and “Masks” (2024). Their current project, Connections, invites members to create 8×8-inch compositions representing themselves, linked together with metal connectors.
PAMG welcomes new members of all skill levels. To join the email list, contact Annemarie Pomp at acpomp@pompsite.com. The guild meets monthly, except in July and December, and can also be found on Facebook.
Call for Online Ceramics Volunteer Hosts

We are excited to introduce a unique volunteer opportunity for our current and past online workshop students with experience in ceramics! The Online Workshop Host Program is designed to create a supportive, engaging environment for both workshop participants and instructors while providing a rewarding opportunity for volunteers.
We are seeking past or current online workshop students with experience in ceramics, who are tech-savvy and comfortable navigating virtual platforms like Zoom. Ideal candidates should be calm, composed, and enthusiastic about supporting and engaging with others in a virtual classroom setting. A strong and stable Wi-Fi connection is essential, and candidates must be available for 5-7 hours of contact time.
In recognition of your time and effort, you’ll receive complimentary tuition for an online workshop of the same length. This is a fantastic opportunity to continue exploring your craft, learning new skills, and connecting with fellow artists!
Apply here by November 1st!
