Ceramics & Pottery Community Classes for Adults
Our ceramics classes are open to all skill levels, from beginner to experienced. We will teach you the basics on how to work with clay, while giving you ample time to explore your creativity. Students will work to create a finished piece to take home with them at the end of the class.
Classes meet Tuesday evenings from 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm

Instructor: Mark Arnold Pocosin Arts’ Ceramics Artist in Residence
Title: Ceramics & Pottery
Description: Learn the basics of making pottery and constructing forms and objects in clay. This class is designed to teach the basics to students with no clay experience, while giving advanced students have the opportunity to build upon their existing techniques. You will focus on how to use your hands to created cups for tea and coffee (or any thing you enjoy). Simple decorating and clay building techniques will be utilized so you can create your own unique designs.
Skill Level: Beginners to Experienced Artists welcome
Tool kits will be provided for the class.
All students will receive a half a bag of clay (12 lb.) – included in the cost of the class
