Pottery & Clay classes

All of our Pottery & Clay classes cover hand-building techniques and how to use the pottery wheel to create cups, bowls, and other useful items. Add color to your work using glazes to create your own unique pottery. Our classes are designed for 18+ beginners, but allow for intermediate to advanced students to build upon existing skills and techniques.

Have fun and learn the basics of making potter in the Pocosin Arts clay studio!

Wheel Throwing

Learn how to use a pottery wheel to make cups, bowls, platters, teapots and much, much more.

Handbuilding

Learn coiling, slab-building, and other methods to create sculptures or functional objects.
