Pottery & Ceramics Community Classes for Adults

Our pottery and ceramics classes are open to all skill levels, from beginner to experienced.  We will teach you the basics on how to work with clay, while giving you ample time to explore your creativity.  Students will work to create a finished piece to take home with them at the end of the class.

Classes meet Tuesday evenings from 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm
Each class meets for 6 weeks


August 1- September 5, 2017

Instructor: Mark Arnold

Title: Pottery & Ceramics

Description: Have fun and learn the basics of making pottery in the Pocosin Arts clay studio. Participants will focus on learning hand-building techniques and how to use the pottery wheel to create cups, bowls, and other useful items. Decorative surface techniques including texture and glazing to add color will also be introduced to help you create your own unique pottery. The class is designed for beginners but will also allow intermediate to advanced students to build upon existing skills and techniques.

Skill Level:  Beginners to Experienced Artists welcome

Cost: $75

Tool kits will be provided for the class.
All students will receive 12 lb. of clay – included in the cost of the class

Additional clay will be available for purchase in 25 lb. bags for $21/bag
